Scope
To upgrade a rural fishery & campsite’s spotty satellite connection that was limited to their shop & café building, with WiFi to be provided to all major camping areas.
Project
We commissioned a Starlink satellite which provided the solid broadband connection needed, and installed a series of Ubiquiti WiFi access points around the main building in order to provide solid connections for customers as well as their tills & card machines.
Using a series of J-Poles, and a customer-provided steel post set in concrete at at a central location on site, we used a series of Point-to-Point links to bounce the connection physically around a small hill that was blocking the campsite from being in line-of-sight of the building that contained the Startlink kit.
We then used a series of outdoor-rated WiFi access points to provide far-reaching WiFi to customers using the campsite, glamping pods and fishing ponds.
